Conveyors & Handling Systems
Curve Conveyor
Main function
The curve conveyor is a mechanical transfer element that allows a change in product flow direction within an automated conveying system while maintaining transport continuity. It redirects loads (unit products, cartons, or cases) from one orientation to another (typically 90° or 180°) without interrupting the flow, using a series of rollers, belts, or modular surfaces arranged along a predetermined radius.
Curves allow production lines to adapt to space and layout constraints, providing a compact alternative to straight conveyors while maintaining product stability and control.
Typical applications
Key benefits
· Continuous product flow: Allows conveying direction changes without interrupting product movement, reducing the risk of stoppages or synchronization issues between conveyor sections.
· Space optimization: Curve conveyors allow conveyor paths to adapt to complex plant layouts while minimizing required floor space.
· Multi-technology compatibility: They can be integrated with various conveyor types (gravity rollers, powered rollers, belt conveyors, modular conveyors, etc.) to ensure system consistency.
· Wide range of radii: Available in several standard or custom curve radii, allowing right-angle turns, double turns, or progressive directional changes depending on space constraints.
· Robust and reliable construction: Curve conveyor components are designed for high mechanical durability, precise tolerances, and simplified maintenance.
