Processing
Cooking, Cooling, and Freezing Spiral
Main function
Spintech industrial spirals are continuous thermal processing systems designed to cook, cool, or freeze food products at high throughput in a controlled environment while minimizing floor space requirements.
Built around a multi-level spiral conveyor architecture, these systems optimize product dwell time while ensuring uniform thermal exposure and gentle product handling.
Thanks to their compact vertical design, spiral systems significantly increase processing capacity without expanding plant floor space.
Typical applications
· Cooking spiral: Products are transported on a spiral conveyor through a saturated steam zone allowing uniform cooking with minimal weight loss. The conveyor rises in a spiral until the cooked product exits the system.
Applications: meatballs, poultry, shrimp, prepared meals.
· Cooling spiral: The spiral conveyor passes through a chilled air zone to gradually reduce product temperature after cooking or frying.
Applications: bakery, snacks, cooked proteins, pastry products.
· Freezing spiral : The product circulates inside a refrigerated enclosure with optimized airflow ensuring fast and uniform heat transfer. Self-stacking belt systems provide high capacity with a small footprint and precise process control.
Applications: IQF products, ready meals, breaded products, fish, meat.
